Olive Receives an Early Birthday Gift

Wow, it’s almost April! And that also means it’s almost my birthday. If you want to mark down your calendars for this day, it’s April 11. Just don’t expect me to tell you how old I am. In dog years or human years. You see, I’m eternally young.

I’ve already gotten a great present, too! It’s a portrait of yours truly that was painted by our own Kim at MKRA, whom you can see here holding it up for me to admire. This was when she first showed it to me, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. She even painted it with high contrasts colors to make it easier for me to see. (However, not to brag, but I have pretty sharp vision. I have to, since when I’m not sleeping on my favorite blue napping couch, I’m reading up on HVAC news on the computer.)

Speaking of my favorite couch, my birthday portrait is currently hanging right over the blue napping couch at the MKRA office. That way, even when I’m not there, people can still pretend that I am.

Yesterday, I did some research while working on some ideas about how you can beat high humidity this season (more about this next week) and I got a bit sidetracked and decided to find out if there are any famous people who share my birthday. Turns out, there are a couple! Here’s some that caught my attention:

  • Christopher Smart: I don’t much about this fellow—apparently he was an 18th-century playwright—but I really like his name.
  • Oleg Cassini: The fashion designer who (sigh) never got around to canine fashions.
  • Joel Grey: This guy was on stage in both Wicked and Cabaret!
  • Nick LaRocca: If you’re a jazz fan, this fellow is a big deal, since he was a bandleader of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, the first jazz band to be recorded.

Now if you’re asking yourself, “Olive, what can I do to help celebrate your birthday?” my answer is to call up our office and arrange for your air conditioning maintenance service if you haven’t done so already. Because nothing would make me happier than to know that I’ve helped people stay comfortable through the hottest times of the year.

If you’re looking for great air conditioning service this spring and summer in Tellico Village, TN or the surrounding areas, call on MK Russell & Abbott!
